It&#039;s kind of funny that Microsoft would have the SharePoint solution use the sAMAccountName rather than the UPN when it&#039;s passing credentials.  Haven&#039;t figured out why they&#039;re using the old school stuff when we live in the 2003+ era.

Nice post nonetheless as a reference for the kids that don&#039;t realize that there is a character limitation on the sAMAccountName.
